Malt Extract, Certified is manufactured by drying extract of sprouted malt grains at lower temperatures to retain its nutritive properties. It is very sensitive to high temperatures and overheating darkens the medium. It is certified grade of malt extract very rich in mixture of carbohydrates (mainly maltose) and growth factors, so it is suitable for use in media for cultivation of fungi-yeast and moulds.
