MOX HiVegâ„¢ Agar is recommended for the cultivation of Yersinia enterocolitica from food. Hiveg media is formulated as per APHA for the cultivation of Y. enterocolitica, a causative agent of human illness caused due to consumption of contaminated food. Yersinia is sensitive to acid conditions, therefore acid foods and fermented products should be analyzed promptly. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
