Mucate Control HiVegâ„¢ Broth is recommended for the identification of enteropathogenic Escherichia coli and Salmonella species from milk and milk products. Hiveg medium is formulated by Kauffman and Petersen. This medium can also be used as an aid in differentiation of Enterobacteriaceae especially within Salmonella genus. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
