Nutrient Agar, pH 6.8 is recommended a general purpose nutrient medium for examination of water, sewage, faeces and other materials. This medium may be used as slants or plates for routine work with non-fastidious organisms.This media has relatively simple formulation which provides the necessary nutrients for the growth of many microorganisms which are not very fastidious. Organisms grows luxuriantlly on the media.
