Pseudomonas Isolation HiCynthâ„¢ Agar Base is used for the selective isolation and identification of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. P. aeruginosa strains grow as green, blue to bluish green coloured colonies owing to pyocyanin & fluorescein pigment production. This medium is prepared by replacing animal and vegetable peptones with chemically defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE risks associated with animal peptones.
