Tergitol-7 HiCynth™ Agar Base is selective and differential used for the detection and enumeration of coliform organisms. Faecal coliform bacteria appear as yellow colonies with deep yellow halo after incubation at 44°C. This medium is prepared by replacing animal and vegetable peptones with chemically defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE risks associated with animal peptones.
