Tryptone Water 500G

Tryptone Water is recommended for detection of indole production. The composition and performance criteria are in accordance with ISO 1990, ISO/DIS 7251:1993. This test demonstrates the ability of certain bacteria to decompose the amino acid tryptophan to indole which accumulates in the medium. Formation of red ring at the top of the tube indicates indole production.
