Wesley HiVegâ„¢ Broth Base 500G

Wesley HiVegâ„¢ Broth Base is used as a selective enrichment medium for isolation of Campylobacter jejuni from poultry products in accordance with APHA. Hiveg media is formulated as described by Wesley and recommended by APHA for selective enrichment of C. jejuni from poultry products.The medium contains tryptose and yeast extract, which provide nitrogenous nutrients, vitamin B complex and other growth nutrients to the organisms. Sodium pyruvate increases the oxygen tolerance of C. jejuni. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
