B.T.B. Lactose Agar, Modified (Lactose Blue Agar) is recommended for diffrentiation of lactose fermenting and non fermenting bacteria belonging to Enterobacteriaceae. Recommended addition of 0.28gms/L of metachrome yellow to suppress swarming of Proteus species.
