Bile Peptone Transport Medium 500G

Bile Peptone Transport Medium is recommended for safe collection, transport and presentation of cholera organisms. It is used as a transport (holding) medium to maintain the viability of Vibrio cholerae in stool specimens during delay in transmission to the laboratory. High concentration of sodium chloride and sodium taurochlorate inhibits gram positive flora. High alkaline pH, addition of potassium tellurite improves the selectivity of the medium.
