Briggs Agar is recommended for the cultivation of Lactobacilli from food and dairy products.This medium is developed primarily for the cultivation of lactobacilli from milk and dairy products. It may be used for the enumeration of Lactic acid bacteria and has better productivity for some strains of Lactobacillus delbrueckii ssp. bulgaricus and Lactococcus lactis ssp. lactis.
