Fluid Selenite Cystine Broth (Twin Pack) 500G

Fluid Selenite Cystine Broth is recommended as an enrichment medium for the isolation of Salmonellae from faeces, urine or other pathological materials. The composition and performance criteria are in accordance with ISO 6579:1993. Selenite selectively enriches Salmonella species. 10 ml of enriched culture from Buffered Peptone Water is inoculated in Fluid Selenite Cystine Broth and further sub-cultured on Brilliant Green Agar w/Phosphate or any selective media. It is advised that the broth should not be incubated longer than 24 hours as inhibitory effect of selenite reduces after 6 - 12 hours of incubation.
