Glucose Salt Teepol HiVegâ„¢ Broth (Twin pack) is recommended for enrichment of Vibrio parahaemolyticus and marine isolates from food. Teepol inhibits the growth of gram positive organisms. HiVeg Peptone and HiVeg extract provide essential nitrogenous nutrients and the high percentage of sodium chloride (3%) helps for the better enrichment of halophilic V.parahaemolyticus. Vibrio alginolyticus and Vibrio parahaemolyticus grows luxuriantlly on this medium. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
