Hartley's Digest HiVeg Broth is a general purpose medium for the cultivation of a wide variety of bacteria from blood especially fastidious Streptococci and Corynebacterium diphtheriae. Streptococci and C. diphtheriae grows luxuriantlly on the media. HM hydrolysate provides nitrogeneous and carbonaceous compounds. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
