Listeria Enrichment Broth, Modified is recommended for selective enrichment of Listeria species. Acriflavin hydrochloride, Nalidixic acid and Actidione in the medium inhibits contaminating organisms while enriching growth of Listeria species. Enriched culture is streaked onto selective agar plates and confirmed biochemically.
