Hiveg medium was formulated by Park and Sanders and is recommended by APHA, for selective enumeration of thermotolerant Campylobacter species in food and animal feed. This medium is prepared by replacing animal peptones with vegetable defined peptones to avoid BSE/TSE/GMO risk.
